About Me

Hi everyone, and thanks for stopping by Something Preppy! 

 I decided to create this blog after falling in love with a ton of preppy fashion blogs...and noticing that almost all of them are written by Southern girls. As a preppy undergrad living in frigid temps (South Bend) for most of the year, their posts about the cute dresses and cardigans that they were wearing all year long just weren't what I was looking for when I was all bundled up in my Hunter parka in April. Something Preppy is the type of blog that I was looking for during those times, inspired by all of those adorable Southern posts. 

I'm currently a student at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. Notre Dame is a tradition in my family, and I'm honored to be able to continue to represent them at such an amazing school. I absolutely adore Notre Dame (despite it's fickle weather). Between football, spiritual life, and academics, it truly is one of a kind. I'm currently in the business school, with an undeclared business focus, a double major in Economics, and a minor in Italian. Aside from having too many majors, I'm a PR representative for my dorm as well as a member of multiple Student Government committees. I have amazing friends at school, and I'm so happy that I ended up there. 

My family truly means the world to me. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such caring, supportive, and intelligent people. They've been there for me since the very beginning; my mom would even type up stories I dictated to her before I could use the computer myself. We're always doing awesome and unique things like scuba diving, white water kayaking, and hiking Patagonia. We have a great family dynamic that I really miss when I'm away at school. Although they might not always understand my love of clothes, they certainly put up with it well! I can't even begin to explain how much they have done and continue to do for me.
